The South African constitution declares that Parliament has the power to conduct oversight of all organs of state, including those at provincial and local government level.

Professor Richard Calland testified before the Zondo commission referencing the Corder report on parliamentary oversight.

Join Prof Calland and Prof Hugh Corder for a discussion on why the focus on parliamentary oversight is particularly important now as we continue to struggle with making sense of how far removed we are from the dreams and aspirations of  before 1994, why they think that parliament has failed in its duty and what some possible ideas for reform are.
