Berkeley Law Conference 2021

The Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality & Anti-Discrimination Law holds annual conferences in cities around the world, giving scholars and equality activists an opportunity to present papers and discuss a variety of topics in comparative equality and anti-discrimination law.

The University of Cape Town was looking forward to hosting the 2020 conference, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the global pandemic. Now we are proud to be hosting the 2021 virtual conference, with the theme: Diversity and Inclusivity: A Lens on Africa, Birthplace of Humanity.

View the call for papers.
Deadline to submit a completed abstract of up to 500 words: 28 February 2021.
The abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee and invitations to present will be sent out by the end of March 2021.
Participants with presentations already accepted for the 2020 Conference will be given the opportunity to present at the 2021 Conference and are not required to re-submit their abstracts. The 2020 Conference participants will be invited to revise/update their submissions.

View the Center's conference page for more information, or email them directly.
